Top prizes for Top Dog
A massive cash prize of £250, a specially commissioned photograph, by top canine photographer Nick Ridley, and a framed diploma along with the title of BRITAIN’S BRIGHTEST DOG are the mouth watering rewards for the dog that comes up trumps in this unique competition and who knows ‘fame’ could soon be knocking on your dog’s door.
The organisers are not looking for another ‘Lassie’ but for a dog that is bright and enthusiastic and can successfully take part in the eight exercises required. The three Judges that have been lined up for this competition are Canine Behaviourist and Trainers, Dima Yeremenko, Jaq Bunn, and Claudine Tisbury and they are very excited about the competition.
All the exercises have been set by well known canine expert Roy Dyer and are well within the capabilities of a bright dog. They will include finding some hidden food, negotiating a small maze, locating an entrance in the arena fencing and you can even demonstrate a trick/exercise of your own. It will not necessarily be the best trained dog that walks off with the title, but an intelligent dog that shows it can ‘work things out’. Second and third place will receive a diploma and doggie goodies.
Britain’s Brightest Dog competition is due to be held at the UK’s largest outdoor dog event, the annual All About Dogs show, which takes place over the weekend of 10th and 11th May at The Brentwood Centre Showground, Doddinghurst road, Brentwood in Essex.
Depending on the number of entries, the competition may be held over the two days.
